The Text Editor is used in many of the modules to help format text the same way you would format text in a word processing system. The text editor is a field in a module that has two rows of toolbar buttons that you can click on to format the text. The text editor is also called the WYSIWYG editor because it uses the "What You See Is What You Get" format to help you format text on the web site.

This feature makes it easy to apply formatting to text without having to manually apply HTML tags. When you use the text editor, the HTML formatting is automatically generated by the text editor and you can view the formatting by clicking the HTML button.

You can even use the editor you to insert links and pictures easily in the middle of text without having to enter any special coding. You can also use the editor to resize and position pictures within the text.

You can either type information directly in the text editor, or you can copy the information from another program such as Microsoft Word or FrontPage to the Windows clipboard, then paste the information in the text editor. This makes it very easy to create complex formatted text and include it in the body of a web page.
